Workshop with Katie Rutherford 7 & 8 March 2025

Thanks to Katie for a fascinating and inspiring workshop, and for sharing with us deceptively simple actions that have such a profound and transformative effect on our yoga practice. Thanks everyone for coming along, and to Fiona for organising the event.

**NOW FULLY BOOKED**

We are excited to announce that Katie Rutherford, a Senior Level 3 Iyengar Yoga Teacher from Edinburgh will be coming to teach a workshop in Aberdeen on 7/8th March 2025.

Friday 7 March 7-9pm for teachers and experienced students, Culter Mills Social Club

Saturday 8 March 10-4pm for general students, Peterculter Church Hall

Katie started practising Iyengar yoga as a student in the late seventies, qualified as a teacher in 1987 and first visited RIMYI on an intensive, taught by Guruji, in 1991.  She has been teaching full time since 2001 and from that point on has travelled to India every year to study, her most recent visit to RIMYI being October 2024.  She is a senior teacher and mentor to many of her teacher students.

“My enthusiasm and passion for teaching comes from a desire to share insights that keep coming about how our bodies can improve in their function and alignment.  Through the alignment of our bodies we find that precious alignment of the body, mind and breath.  During these sessions we will focus on ways of strengthening our joints to improve stability and structural integrity.”
